The G7 in Apulia. It will be talked about for a long time.
Not only for the major global issues discussed during the event, such as geopolitical rivalries, global balance, the digital revolution, artificial intelligence, but also for the Mediterranean luxury of the location where it took place.
At Borgo Egnazia, in the province of Brindisi, one arrives by passing through olive groves, as one arrives at many typical masserie in the area.
The village, built from scratch with rough tuff stone, consists of 92 cottages, 28 private villas and 63 double rooms.
It is thanks to its mix of territory, architecture and Apulian hospitality that Borgo Egnazia achieved the prestigious world title of Best Hotel of the Year.
But it is already some years since the charm of the Apulian masserie and territory has been infecting the world.
Apulia had already reached the podium as a destination for weddings from abroad in Italy. In fact, 2023 was the record year for foreign couples choosing to get married in Italy, and Apulia was the most popular destination.
The Destination Wedding sector closed 2023 with a 34% increase in turnover. And forecasts for 2024 estimate a further 8% increase.
Getting in touch with the most ancient part of this territory, which has always been linked to agriculture and nature, is indeed an experience that the whole world envies us.
